Nate
Nate, TRIBE’s founder, is an Eastern Orthodox Christian baptized into the Russian Orthodox Church (ROCOR), and an active contributor to the life of multiple parishes across Central Illinois. He plays a role in church social media, website development, community outreach, and modernizing parish communications and design—always with reverence for tradition and liturgical integrity.
In addition to his parish work, Nate is also a citizen of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, where he is devoted to sharing the Orthodox Christian faith with his people. His efforts include translating Orthodox prayers and liturgies into the Choctaw language, wearing traditional regalia in church as a form of cultural reverence, and exploring meaningful ways to integrate Choctaw identity into Orthodox life without compromising theological truth.
Whether in parish halls or within tribal communities, Nate’s work is driven by a desire to preserve sacred tradition, foster genuine connection, and build structures that endure across generations—bridging ancient faith with living culture in a spirit of humility and service.

Gerald
Gerald, TRIBE’s Co-President and Community Relations Manager, is an enthusiast of liturgical Christianity and a committed advocate for the preservation of sacred tradition across East and West. Growing up in the Anglo-Catholic tradition, as well as attending various churches across Europe and America, Gerald brings a rare breadth of experience and curiosity to his work.
Gerald spends much of his time visiting ancient churches across Europe—studying the living traditions of Christian worship, from the Latin Rite liturgy to the Byzantine and Slavic Orthodox forms.
Gerald’s work with TRIBE centers on building bridges between the Church and the modern world, with a special focus on global outreach and faith-based communications. Whether assisting parishes with strategic messaging or facilitating cross-cultural dialogue, he views every effort as part of a larger calling to serve Christ through tradition, clarity, and beauty.
For Gerald, the liturgy is more than form—it is the language of eternity, handed down and lived anew in every generation.
